Things are simply crazy here in the land of Lincoln. I have been running around filling custom orders like crazy (yay!). I have been spending a lot of time with my family which has been great, but I have not been doing a lot of blogging… not so good. So I figured I would tie myself to my chair until I finished even a short one!
I have been making new flowering ring bearer pillows for summer! I started thinking how much my past customers have loved them and so I thought why not make some different sizes and price points! Here are a few pics!
I still get a thrill from seeing them photographed! Each pillow is a little piece of me and seeing that in a finished product feels amazing. So until I get a little more time to get back here and do some real talking, this is all you get!

Ok so I have found a new obsession!!! I have heard a lot recently about a California based company… Sprinkles. They are a simple cupcake shop started by a woman named Candice Nelson and her husband, and they now have a ton of locations including Chicago! I was lucky enough to go there recently with my sister as taste some of their delicious cupcakes!
Results- DELICIOUS! You can tell these cupcakes are different right away because they are heavy! Each cupcake has a distinct flavor and design that sets them apart, and did I mention they are insanely delicious? Sprinkles has really taken this classic dessert and taken it to the next level. I mean come on ginger lemon, sugar cinnamon (no frosting needed), and they even make the classics like chocolate, and red velvet.
You can imagine how excited I was to learn they have a Sprinkles mobile too! They can come to your function and deliver deliciousness until you just can’t take it anymore. Who would be able to stop? Even days later I still can’t get these baby cakes off my mind, so I took some pics from our visit and I am sharing them today with you…
- I would have waited all day for these cup cakes… but we didn’t have too the line although long moved fast due to the speedy and friendly service!
chocolate, red velvet, and pumpkin oh my!
We settled on peanut butter chocolate, red velvet, vanilla, and irish chocolate
convenient and cute!

And if your function is in need???

Official verdict… I have already gone back since and I live 45 minutes away… This bakery is one that will stand the test of time because it is the perfect treat to spoil yourself with once in a while. My favorite that I have had so far is the peanut butter chocolate. It is mind blowing how fresh and delicious all of their flavors are, but this flavor in particular was by far the best cupcake I have ever had… and I consider myself to be a very good baker! I also love their cute Sprinkles shirts and cupcake mix you can make at home! At $3.50 a piece this is a treat I will definitely be back to spoil myself with. Just FYI I am no way affiliated with Sprinkles, I just have a sugar crush on them
Till next time,
So to my delight my lovely little globe graced the cover of Etsy yesterday… go me! (I am allowed to cheer me on). Yay!
I have been operating my store since last year and this is the second time I have been on the front page… I am so lucky it was in this beautiful treasury! Thanks for listening to me brag!

I have been super busy lately! As I wait for the snow to finally melt away for good here in Chicago, I am starting feel the familiar excitement for all the trends of Spring to finally arrive! I love Spring. The wellies, adorable patterned umbrellas, and rain coats in so many colors it’s like a candy confectionery parade. I always seem to gravitate towards to the most expensive items when shopping, which is a problem for me because my wallet is teeny tiny and my fashionista mindset is huge.
Fear not, Retailer Target has come to the rescue! They are bringing back 25 dresses from featured designers such as Alice Temperley, Libertine, Rodarte, Zac Posen and more! There is really something for everyone including a simple black sundress to a plaid mini dress fit for a night on the town. The best part is that most of the dresses are under $40, some are under $30! In this day and age to find a designer dress for under $30 is like finding a one hundred dollar bill on the sidewalk with no one around you…
I am already planning which of my headbands I can wear with each dress! I had to include a few pics of the dresses I am definitely going to have to scoop up….
Alice Temperley $34
Till next time, happy shopping

So my niece Delaney just turned five (I feel old) and as every year she gets showered with a TON of presents, so my sister and I decided this year we would give her an awesome outfit and take her for tea! Yesterday was our big date, and although we almost had to cancel because of the icy weather, we forged ahead. We started at a small place called Infinitea, which I highly recommend.
So I thought I would share some pictures with you of our awesome day, enjoy
Birthday Tiara, Tea commences!
Delaney and Aunt Kelly
Me getting ready for tea
Hot cocoa tasting
breads and poppy muffins to start
Delaney and I... ladies who lunch
Tea etiquette 101
Scones, and tea... delicious!
Delaney had the Royal Child Treament!
Sadly the local candy store was close, but Delaney had other ideas, she wanted ice cream. So we headed to a local ice creamery called Still Larrys. Where Larry the owner served up a delicious treat for Delaney.
Still Larrys for some Sherbert
Sugar is kicking in I think!
So on to home… oh wait I’m sorry Still Larrys happens to be located right near the local pet store… so according to Delaney that’s where we headed to next! Don’t worry we did not buy a dog, but we did see a giant snake, and get a pig ear for Maddy the family dog.
New best friends
Now we are prepared if we are invited to Kate and Will’s royal wedding! So a good time was had by all! Happy Birthday Delaney Quinn, can’t wait for next year!!!

My super sale starts today and has a ton of stuff for only $9.99!!!!
SERIOUSLY only $9.99!!!!
Here are a few things up for grabs!
Sorry about the shameless self promotion, but this is my life and right now it’s revolving around a Super Sale!
