My sister is two years older than me, that would make her still a twenty something. She has a blog as well (it’s fantastic), most of the time, unless she giving me shit on it.

She lives in the city and is fricken hilarious. Random banter always ensues with her and I. We talk about everything from life to love, and even the weird crap. Like why does my sister want to get a dog and name him Theo Huxtable Anderson after a character on the Cosby show. I wondered why instead she wouldn’t want to name this dog Jesse Spano after Elizabeth Berkley’s character on Saved by the bell.

My sister used to watch reruns of saved by the bell like crazy, and once while watching she decided to make some popcorn well back in the day (shut up old is the new black) microwaves didn’t have the nifty POPCORN button so 3:15 was the magic time, but K pushed 31:50 minutes instead and proceeded to go back and watch if Zack got away with taking apart Mr Belding’s car again.

Now just about the time that Jesse Spano started dancing and singing I’m so excited in a drug inducing haze, K glanced over and thirty minutes later the Delicious Orville Redenbocker’s gourmet popping corn was now kindling in our now flaming microwave. Three minutes had elapsed into a half an hour .Needless to say she didn’t burn the joint down (no fire department necessary to remove the chared bag), but I still like to tease her about this, and besides if you going to name a dog something wouldn’t a little dog named Slater Anderson be cute?

Quote of the week

With the recent passing of Randy Pausch I figured this would be a nice picker upper for anyone having a bad week. Randy was a college professor who lived his childhood dreams out one by one. He was married with three children and lost his battle with pancreatic cancer way to young. I wrote down this quote and taped it up in my office (cube).

” Don’t Bail. The best of the gold is at the bottom of barrels of crap.”

Kinda makes you think you will eventually get rewarded, and also makes me think of crap.

Till next time
