Ok, it’s Monday morning and I would have paid at least thirty six dollars to stay in bed this morning, but instead we went through our usual routine where M gets up showers, kisses me goodbye and leaves. He then proceeds to call me from the car and tell me to get out of bed (it’s not as nice as it sounds). To be clear, although he says I need to sleep in later . . .(nice) I really just think he likes his alone time in the morning, and also I think he likes to be a safe distance away when he wakes me up (probably necessary).
This weekend was good Friday we went to Blarney Island. It’s a fun bar on the Chain O’Lakes you should all visit if you ever get out this way. Anyhow we stayed for a short time because Lame-O (me) was tired and forced M to retire early with me. Saturday I was awoken at 7:54 A.M. by my very sweet (see ass) friend Steph who I proceed to verbally abuse because I am not a valid person before eight thirty on the weekend. So now that I am awake at the crack of dawnwhat am I to do . . . . I know lets go paint at the new house!!! P.s. Step conveniently was not available until after one p.m. because she went back to sleep, beotch.
In the words of my sister , JOY… I drove the hour to the new house, but not until after I saw my neighbor outside with her daughter Areceli who she adopted from Guatemala last year (she is adorable! and she loves me). I stopped to say hello and my neighbor informed me she had a flat tire…. Well what do you think happened next? I spent the next hour changing her tire which you think would be easy, but even after working for Enterprise Rent a Car I never had done. I professionallychanged the tire and cut my hand while tightening the bolts back on. Seriously when you are buying your car opt for the fricken roadside people it’s worth it.
After completing my tire mission I headed to the new house where I primered over the nursery mural in the second bedroom. Seriously cute mural= want to have baby. After primering I jumped back into the Maz (zoom zoom) and headed back up north to get ready for my brother’s 30thbirthday! The party was a surprise so we spent the next few hours making food ( I trumped everyone with rice krispy treats, and my signature chocolate covered raspberriesand strawberries) and wrangling the kids. Did you know that children walk from room to room talking crap out and then continuing on to the next room. How do kids get bored that fast? It’s like they see something shiny and run! I don’t know how they do it but suddenly the giant alligator is out again and there is a small child playing the saxophone next to me while asking for a “rice kisby teet”. Love them.
After much preparation and some help from K and M we were set. Now the funny thing about surprise parties is that the goal is to surprise you guest of honor, but were we surprise when my Bro came home smashed, (intoxicated, pissed, tanked, drunk, wasted, you get it). Only then do we realize maybe golfing all day and then stalling him by going drinks (see multiple shots) wasn’t the best idea ever. Needless to say we all had a good time and I believe R enjoyed himself, until the kids woke him up at the crack of dawn Sunday (hehehe).
Happy Birthday “R”!!!!!!!!!!!
More about Sunday later, including an awesome story I heard about a family member for the first time last night!
Till later
