Ello All (my best impression of a British Accent),
So this Sunday MTV will whip it out again and try to rock out with some of the most famous musicians and celebrities in the world. Yep it’s time for the 2008 Video Music Awards. Keep your pants on kids, this years host is none other than Russell Brand!!!!!!!
British Brand
Don’t know who that is? Well that’s because NO ONE DOES . . . unless you saw the movie Forgeting Sarah Marshall (awesome!!!) where he plays the rock star British boyfriend. He has been described as having hair similar to Amy Winehouse (crack hooch) Well have no fear, (you probably didn’t) this years VMA is supposed to be the Shiz. A little bird has been whispering Britney Spears will be performing (hopefully without lip syncing, seriously Spears pull it together) as well as Christina Aguillera (hot mama), and Kanye (I own this world) West, he will be closing the show.
This year I don’t know what to expect. I really hope that Brand shakes things up because after Courtney love started attending sober, and that fact that no one wants to pull pranks or climb the tower next to the stage . . . things kinda got boring. Not that I need Madonna to come make out with Miley Cyrus or anything (arg), but a little drama never hurt anyone.
Now Chris Rock was a great host, funny, loud, and could talk about your mother and it was STILL funny. Whatever happens this Sunday I will be watching and hoping that Russell can live up to the hype because I think he will be great. Have a great weekend everyone, I will be moving into the new house!!!!!!

UPDATE: The VMA’s sadly did not live up to the hype this year, although I am still showing my love for Russell Brand I think MTV needs to stop spending their money on ridiculous shows like “Next” and start spending it on their awards shows, because in the words of my sister, K “It looks like the show took place in someones basement”, word dude. good luck next time MTV.

the best part of the VMA’s was Kanye West’s performance at the end… the worst part was the host (what’s with the accent?)
