General Information Ahead (a.k.a random fodder):
I am the resident Haley Girl who lives in out here in suburbia, but just close enough to the beautiful city of Chicago where I can get my fix if need be like at a Cubs game (Boo Sox fans), or at a great new restaurant recommended by KQ.
I have a sister and a brother who provide the best of both worlds, and my new husband Mike who I like to refer to as my life partner, but is now officially my husband! I also have a pretty damn great sister in law who blessed our family with Aidan and Delaney my niece and nephew. Lately I spend the majority of my days working in my “woman cave” making handmade accessories and wedding necessities to sell in my online store. I am a artist, a philosopher, an excellent creme brulee maker, a Perez Hilton addict (stop judging), a painter, a chef, a executive housekeeper (thanks honey) and recently part time I have been trying to take over the world.
I have an affinity for good rum (I do have a little Captain in me), great friends, and an occasional stroll through the big city of Chicago. I love art, good movies, and this blog (who knew?). I also love to cook (Warning: Horn Tooting Ahead) and I am very good at it if I do say so myself, but generally don’t have a ton of time to do it. One of my favorite candies is the Cadbury egg which is only available once a year (go figure).
I on occasion get to travel with Mike, my new husband and partner in crime. I love Europe, Mexico, and anywhere warm. I would love to travel to Japan, as well as Africa, and Australia (anywhere really will do).
I love my family and my freedom, and would fight to keep it if need be. I’m a lover not a fighter. . . but I am also a fighter so don’t get any ideas (I LOVE the dos equis most interesting man in the world commercials!!!!).I have a huge family with more than thirty first cousins alone. (Gotta love us Irish Catholics!).
This blog is mostly the weird sarcastic nonsense that exists only in my head, but I also document the day to day experiences of life, love, and being a Haley Girl.
