The Dawn Has arrived And My Journey Ended

Good Morning All,

So I finished the last book in the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn. I have to admit I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT!!!! I have spoken with many people who have read this book and they all feel the same way I do. It is entirely different world reading one of Stephanie Meyer’s novels. I feel completely wrapped up in her plot lines, and character quirks. I loved the love story between Edward and Bella, and the obstacles they faced, it felt like a different world.

I will not go into to much detail for all of you who have not read the books, but I will say this I think the turn out was different than expected, but excellent. I approve of how things ended and I was okay with letting go of the characters  . . . . for now. I am hoping she will continue the saga with two of the characters that seemed to be destined.

Thank you KQ who introduced me to these books, I am not sure that reading while driving was healthy, but I do love the intensity with which I had to read these books!!!!!! I am moving on to continue the Last Lecture Book, by Randy Pausch. then I think maybe onto something else with Vampires! I don’t think I am ready to let go.(NOOOOOO!) I can always just reread them as well (YES!).

P.s. I definitely will be missing Edward . . .

I love Edward!!!

I love Edward!!!

The Eclipse is gone now only the dawn is breaking . . .

Hello my friends,

So I have finished Eclipse . . . It was fantastic. I have to admit I liked it much better than New Moon. I cannot wait to start the last book. I discussed it with my sister this afternoon, and all of a sudden an argument arose. It was mostly fun, ok well here is the jist. . .

Kel believes if she were to be a character she would be Alice, I however told her the truth that in fact she would be Rosalie. This news did not go over well with Kelly as she believes Rosalie is kind of a Beotch. I simply meant that is who I see her being most like. Kelly interprets this as Rosalie is a beotch and that is what I am calling her, not true.

She was so upset she told me she would be getting a shirt that said “I am Alice”. I told her that wasn’t a problem because I would be getting a billboard that said “Kelly is Rosalie” :) . So We spoke about the book for awhile. We talked about my love for this life changing love story. Most people I have talked to about the book are going as mad as I am for it. I can only think it is because in life many only hope to feel the emotions and thrills that are entrenched in every page of these novels.

In the end I will finish the last book this weekend and I am a little sad. It is like the last episode of sex and the city. I am nervous to read this book because I am sure it is not going to end the way I expect or think it will.  I will let you know Monday.

And a follow up Kel told me she thought maybe she was going a little to far when she got mad at me for thinking she was not similar to the fictional character from a book.  . . I told her not to worry. I knew I had reached an unhealthy level when I started reading  . . . while driving. Have a safe weekend,

Till Next Time,

HG

UPDATE: I have finished the last book, and I will be talking!!!!!!

The moon is gone, now only an eclipse is visible

Morning all,
So yesterday  at work Krysten walked into my office (cube) and  . . . you guessed it what was I doing? Reading new Moon. so what was I to say . . . “I’m so ashamed!” (laughing). Everyone at work is going crazy over these books. Everyone wants to borrow Twilight (my sister in law has first dibs) People see me carrying it and they are compelled to tell me they are reading it, or they have read it. It’s great, but their are other things that go along with Twilight to. For example . . .
  • It’s probably not healthy that I was trying to read while driving home last night.
  • I should not read while watching the Bears Game (Woo hoo) out at a bar. (strange looks were given)
  • I have been told I am a huge dork for reading while at lunch, and on breaks, and at home, out at restaurants etc.
  • I am pretty sure it’s not very nice getting upset with M because he doesn’t “linger” long enough while kissing me like someone else I am reading about.
  • That I read for 25 hours and 44 minutes to finish New Moon, that’s including a full days work and around eight hours of sleep. (I am a rock star!)
  • I am not sure it’s right that I plan to spend part (all) of my day off tomorrow finishing Eclipse . . .  and possibly Breaking Dawn.

However I do have to say as much as I loved certain parts of the book, I was stunted by others. I mean I was just surprised I guess. I won’t have an spoilers here, you just wait until I have finished the last two. I am only about sixty pages into Eclipse, but I already like where this is going. . .

Till Next Time,

Twilight . . . .

Twilight . . . .

P.s. I am totally impressed with you Twilight fans. I have gotten some great comments from you all and i love hearing feedback that you love the books too, and that I am not as crazy as the majority of people I know . . . are telling me I am. Thanks
