Will Anyone Snitch on Blagojevich?

Hello All,

So my corrupt beautiful town of Chicago is all in arms over Rod Blagojevich being arrested. I for one do not know all the information yet, but I will tell you one thing, M has been saying he is dirty for months. If even M thinks he ain’t up to no good then then good lord this man has been blatant in his pursuit of POWER.

There is a request of citizens to come forward to give information that might help the case against Rod and it will definitely be interesting to see what comes about from this request. I wonder just how many people the Blagojevichs have leaned on to get what then want.

Do you have information???

Proposition 8 Effective, Slippery Slope

Good Morning Everyone,

It was an interesting day yesterday. A lot of good press for Barack Obama and for our country. There are some things I would like to address today. Some comments were sent to me yesterday. Some great and thank you for all of them, even one in particular who called me a liberal (better than a bitch I guess) anti American supporter of a racist new President.

I remember one night about three months ago we gathered for dinner at my father’s home. My Uncle as well as a few other members of my family were present and the discussion (add 3 bottles of wine) of Politics arose. This topic is not discussed very often with us because mixing wine with words is never a good combination (it seems as if the older generations were taught a political discussion cannot be a pleasant thing), but we pushed forth and my sister and I who are both supporters of Barack Obama were asked a question. . .

“If John McCain was elected to be the next President of the United States , would he be your President?”

We both immediately answered emphatically “YES”. Because a lot of people have lost sight of what our country is REALLY about. We stand for unity, not Republicans or Democrats or members of the Green party. This country was formed to give us freedoms that weren’t given to people in other parts of this world. I wanted to elect Batrack Obama because I think he stands for a lot of things I want our country to be, but if John McCain had clinched this election I would have supported him and hoped that he could change this country around. He would have been MY President.

Theproblem with this is a lot of people do not feel this way. They are angry, and upset that “their” candidate did not win. A lot of people supported hate instead of Gay marriage in this election. After all of this hoopla I officially have become a Gay Rights Activist. You heard it here first. I am a conservative when it comes to certain things (I know it shocks you), but when it comes to basic human rights I will not falter. this amendment must be reviewed. How can we say yes to freedom, while encouraging the repression of people?

How can people spew hate towards others because they don’t share the same views? Here is a little piece of advice . . . Stop hating the differences you encounter in others, because it is this that makes us question, and challenge, and push forth for a new, and and better future. What would happen if nothing had ever changed? We would have slaves, and I would be married off with five kids and no freedom or voice (Ha).

Focus on building our country back into the Nation it should be. Like our new President -Elect has said now is a time for unity. We need to come together. I do not want to fight wars on our own soil, while we have been forced to fight them overseas. Embrace the differences between you and your neighbors, love your children, educate yourself, let people live in a world where we do not shun anyone because of race, or gender, or sexual preference.

And for all of you that claim this will be a slippery slope. . .  I think we are smart enough to say no when a man decides to marry a goat or a woman wants to marry a pair of shoes. We are talking about basic RIGHTS, and if I told you tomorrowthat you were not allowed to enter through the front door of my home because that door is reserved for my homosexual friends would that affect you?

Live your life with the pursuit of Happiness.

Proposition 8, Thanks For Nothing California

Hello all,

My elation over Barack Obama’s win last night has been damper-ed a bit today by the notion of the fact that proposition 8 has been passed and that means that thousands of people across the country including many well known celebrities such as Ellen Degeneres and Melissa Ethridge are no longer married legally to their respective spouses.

I am disheartend that we have grown to look beyond in this country. Beyond gender, beyond race, beyond ethnic backrounds, but we can’t allow people who love each other to marry?

Does gay marriage make any straight marriage less sacred, or special?

Does gay marriage diminish your marriage?

Do you feel if a woman marries a woman it changes your relationship with your spouse?

I think that a lot of people out there need to open their minds. Unless we want to intaill separate drinking fountains and schools for African Americans again, or tell woman we are not equal to men again, or maybe tell Jews they don’t deserve to live. then I suggest we wake up and give the right to HUMAN BEINGS who are gay to be HUMAN BEINGS. If someone told you that your not allowed to sit here only people who are rich can sit here, what would you do?

Ok I will answer for you . . . YOU WOULD BE PISSED! Because someone decided to violate your rights as a person.  We need to take a good look around and we need to remember the separation of church and state. If you want to be married then do it in a church or with your religious ad-visor if that is what makes it special to you. But when did marriage become regulated by the government? Why not have arranged marriages instead, that way we have no choice at all.

Take a good hard look at our country because it is about to change. I am not gay, but I wish I was because I would be the most outspoken Lesbian you’ve ever seen.

I voted for Barack Obama, and now I am “voting” to have the rights of people given back to them, not because it’s in my power to do so, but because it’s RIGHT.

We Interupt This Broadcast For a Special Annoucement . . .

Hello All!

So I heard some interesting news that Barack Obama has bought thirty minutes of advertisement time this evening. A thirty minute commercial, holy crap that is a long time. What do you think he will discuss? Is this going to be another Joe the Plumber night? Will we discuss his plans when he is elected President? Will it be a last minute reminder to vote? Technically that would only take about thirty seconds, but thirty minutes? What could we discuss in thirty minutes? In case he gets left with some additional air time, here are some ideas that could come in as handy fillers Barack . . .

  1. Lets talk about the crap we wanna know, give us the dirt! Does McCain smell like Formaldehyde? Does Palin want to give me her expensive campaign footwear because those are  “The campaign’s clothes” and because she would rather shop consignment in Wasilla?
  2. What about Greys Anatomy, does Barack think Meredeth and Derek will every cut the crap and just be happy together?
  3. Does Barack break for animals?
  4. Does he plan to go see the new movie Twilight on opening night too? (I think Barack would really like the Cullens too!)
  5. Is Joe Biden as funny in real life as he is on Leno?

Either way I am interested in hearing him speak. On another note I am so proud of everyone here in Chicago and the Northern suburbs as of this morning it was reported that over 500,000 people have cast their ballots! Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!! This is what true Democracy is about people! Voice your choice!

!!!!VOTE!!!!

!!! Seriously!!!

!!Our Future, Your Voice!!

Does a First Lady Make a Better President?

Good Morning All,

I am up on this bright and shiny day and it only took a jimmy dean microwaveable sandwich, apple juice, and three wake up calls from M! I came across a story this morning on www.aol.com asking us Internet trollers who will be a better first lady, Michelle Obama or Cindy McCain. Now my first instinct is to laugh out loud. How in the world will the future Presidents spouse greatly affect our country?

Then it hit me . . . Hillary Clinton. Hillary has made not only a political career as a Senator out of her husbands years in the White House, but she has also successfully come farther than any other woman to achieving a major party nomination for President of the United States. WTF? Are we still thinking these women (or men now) have no bearing at all in the decision making process for our next leader? Guess what . . . . they do. These woman (again, and now men) are the sound boards, confiders, partners, and lovers to the man and or women who will be taking office to run our Nation in the next few months. Their character and being is important, more so than any other details about a candidates family.

So does Sarah Palin’s husband and his ten year old DUI say anything about his credibility now? Well mostly likely not, but there are definitely things that would affect how he advises his wife and acts as the Vice President’s husband. What about Cindy McCain? She has a history of volunteering in underdeveloped countries as well as adoption, but can her compassionate streak convince her husband to wake up an see that our economy is not “strong” as he put it. Can she show him how we as Americans are struggling?

Can Michelle Obama be a better first lady because she has a higher education? Can she influence Barrack Obama because she as a lawyer she will have more knowledge of the law than past first ladies before her? The bottom line comes down to the decision whether these ladies (or men) will use their time in the white house to right children’s books, or to further causes not at the top of the agenda in a world where we fight multiple wars every day. Do these people affect the candidates? . . .yes. Do they affect who you will vote for? . . . . you tell me.

Palin Party Still Jamming Out?

Hola Buenos Dias,

So I know I have been a lazy ass and it looks as if I only have to worry about three of you so I haven’t kept to many people waiting. I figured I would talk some shit today and see what happens : ). Well yesterday was a huge day for me . . .

I VOTED!!!!

Now this is not the first time I have voted, but it certainly felt very different. I actually was excited to cast my ballot (not dorky even though you may think it is) (VOTE PEOPLE!!!). However some things have come to light in the past few days that make me think again . . . how the hell can people vote for Sarah Palin? I know I know to each there own. I am glad we live in a country where people can express their opinions and thoughts, but come on people I HAVE MORE FOREIGN POLICY EXPERIENCE THAN SARAH PALIN!

How can people stand up and support someone who wants to change the constitution (over my dead body beotch) I am not gay, but I wish Sarah Palin had a gay child, heck maybe she does. I wish she would know the hurt a mother faces when she cannot see her child get “married” because it is against the law. I wish she could see the sadness when you tell someone they are not an equal because of the way they were born. Why should we stop there Sarah . . . , why should we allow African American people to get married???, or Irish people either???? Why allow any of us to make our own choices or have our own thoughts?

Oh that’s right because this is freaking AMERICA, land of the free and home of the brave lady. Just because you like to hunt animals and promote abstinence instead of sexual education up there in Alaska doesn’t mean your plans are going to clean up cities like Detroit or Miami. Why don’t we test these great ideas of yours out? Well I think we all know your plan didn’t work with the abstinence initiative, but hey maybe the gang bangers and drug dealers will like the looser gun laws you seem to love so much.

I don’t think I need to tell you who I voted for, and I hope if your a Sarah Palin fan you really look at why your voting for her, because the country and the white house are going to be very, very different if we are going to have the Palin clan around for the next eight years. If you decide to go through with it, good luck to you and to the rest of us. . .

Sarah Palin . . . Fading into the Red, White, and Blue Backround

Morning all,

So as of this morning CNN (love it) is reporting that Republican  Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin’s approval ratings are declining, and not slowly either. “Palin’s favorable rating is at 40 percent, according to a CBS News/New York Times poll. That’s down 4 points from last week. Her unfavorable rating is at 30 percent, rising 8 points in a week.” according to www.cnn.com.

Really!  . . . Shocking . . . . . Ok not shocking at all. so out of the blue McCain picks this nice looking, mother from Alaska to be “A heartbeat away from the Presidency” (this slogan is getting old people). Well great, a women, a mother, a ball buster . . . AWESOME! (yep I said it . . . and here it comes) BUT, what about all the crazy shit that has been spewed about her, it’s been like two weeks and she is surrounded by controversy?

So I am all for a women being VP or the President, that would be a great thing for our country and for women everywhere, BUT (I know again!) don’t we want it to be the right woman? Don’t we want a woman to stand up for our country without drama, and controversy spinning around her. Don’t we deserve a candidate who focuses on the issues and the current status of our country? Or at least someone who has more to say besides how they’re gonna shake up Washington or how awesome Hockey moms are . . . .

Sarah Palin may be a great mother, a great friend, an excellent hunter, or even a good Governor, but in my opinion (yep only me) I am wondering what else is she bringing to the table? What is she going to do for the people who just lost their jobs down on Wall Street? Or the recent college graduates who are looking for a job after busting their arse through four years of college? Her partner in this race (Johnny boy) is still labeling our economy as “strong” . . . are you fricken kidding me John?

So seriously how is it possible that Palin’s ratings are going down? I mean she seems like the perfect candidate and all. . . who doesn’t like a VP whose got a new scandal every week. If I wanted Britney Spears to run for VP I would have thrown her a fundraiser, get your crap together people, and look at the issues, not at the candidates gender.

Sarah Palin may be great woman, but we need  great leaders, is she really one of them?
